It's nice, but I like to be able to see my statues without the aid of a microscope.

Yep, way to go to make a fool of oneself by comparing the two. Though as long as their audience is listening, these people won't leave the podium and turn to something else.

Thinking about it, could CM be ready to pull another release date surprise on us?
Maybe this will get released on time.
    Guys what do you think?

Somehow, I just don't think it will generate the hype that the Predator did.

Not only will it not create that kind of hype, but, beyond, the Predator will stand there as the one and only example to justify CM prices for many.
I'm in for both the Godfather and Lee but a mid-year release is simply too early for me. That and I can't deny that the new price range + deposit is a bit of a shock to me.

I can only assume it will be more of the same for Bruce Lee.

Very likely. Still, what's CM gonna do once production has started and the Preorders got fulfilled? Only ship individual pieces to the EU when they're ordered and downpayment is made? Eventually they will have to cave in and provide their main outlets like FPI with stock, just what I expect.

Yes that is an interesting point. It isn't exactly cost effective to ship individiual units. I suspect what will happen, which to be frank is probably happening already (hence the long lead times for existing pieces), is FPI have to wait until they have a minimum order number before CM will ship stock.

    Ok, this is interesting.
FPI have added the following information to their Godfather order page:
"THIS IS FORBIDDEN PLANET INTERNATIONAL EXCLUSIVE"
I need to check this out.

I am assuming that means Play.com won't be getting it. I'll check with AM on Monday.

I shouldn't be reading the Predator's Care Manual so often. The Godfather pic in there looks fantastic.
