With all base i saw I like steve's one and yours Round base fit very well for godfather Yours height match with other cinemaquette base?
Fantastic base. Adds so much more to the piece. Love the wood flooring. Plus I would like to get him on the same plain as the rest of the CMS. He just seems out of proportion when displayed next to the others without the base.
Thanks for your nice comments. Yes, the hight is the same as Bruce Lees / Aragorns base. It's a massive wooden base and pickled dark beech.
Nice photos but you just gotta lose that cigar Zhong. The Don never once smoked throughout the entire film... his fingers are in that position as they are in the movie poster where he's whispering to Robert Duvall. In my view it spoils the pose CM went for. It's like putting an ice cream cornet in the Alien's hand, wrapping tinsel around Jack Sparrow's neck, or adding a skipping rope for Supes.
Steve Yes agree that is not movie accurate But i dont know why without the cigar he s not natural...maybe its the eye... Or CM have to make the servant to complete the scene
I think the godfather is the rarest of the CM volumes....Omer has got the lastest number known... I was afraid when i saw some pics on internet but when you know the quality of a CM, you cant be disapointed in person its a whole difference Maybe i would like him stand up next to his chair and with a base...will match better to other CM The chair itself is a work of art, very heavy very well sculpt and paint, i love it Hope my pics will convince those who still hesitate
CM did an outstanding job on the Don. Great photography Zhong! That said,I have to agree with Steve...get rid of that cigar!
Ok Phil Sir yes sir The cigar gives him a different expression IMO... Its like Sparrow with the custom hat i made for him With or without his hat, he looks different...
Hey Raf, the forum downtime erased your support for the cigar! But don't worry - your secret's safe with me.
