The wait is over! Here we go folks. For CBD only, exclusive access to the new piece courtesy of George Sohn. This is a world exclusive reveal.
Volume XIII of the Cinemaquette line is the Gillman from the Creature From The Black Lagoon.

Sculpted by Steve Wang and standing around 28 inches tall. The pictures that follow are a work-in-progress of an eighty percent completed sculpt. It is unpainted, but the final paint job will be the most complicated Cinemaquette have ever attempted with 15 or so applications of translucent paints.
    Pictures to follow...

Just uploading to photobucket now. We have video footage as well which will come up later.
Universal were in town yesterday and loved the sculpt. I don't think this one will encounter any problems in approval somehow.
The final base will have a water/swamp effect similar to the Predator I suppose.
The translucent paints will give the appearance of wet skin. George says the scales won't be as pronounced as they are on the raw sculpt once paints are applied.

This piece is supremely detailed, and faithful to the original creature suit.

No problem Joseph. We have lots of video footage too but I have to split for a panel with Shatner Mark wants to see so it will be uploaded later this afternoon.

An odd character choice for sure but I'm digging the classic pose.

I understand your disappointment Omer , as I'm sure many will be too, I was hoping for a keaten batman , do to the fact of all the bat stuff they came out with and I'm sure a lot of people too, the only thing I can think of is that they may have had some issues with the licence now that sideshow got it, and this was a last resort to have something for the comicon, but being the classic monster fan that I am I am pretty happy with this and I only hope that it does not stop here and they continue with the rest of the monsters , at least , wolf man , Frankenstein and Dracula , and I. happy
