Yes the COA is signed by stan winston who approved this piece but for me i dont care much...
This kind of piece is fragil and better pick up to check if nothing broken...especially for the price asked...
If there is one t800 it will be the CM for me ;)

If he would have signed it personally it would have been worth much more, but it's just a copy like most sigs on the COA's, unfortunately.

For the record, SWS designed it too, Cinemaquette licensed and produced it.

:D Yes, but in what way we will never know i guess. The problem with COA's is always that they in itself are just mass produced, but i prefer real sigs like the one from Giger (he even gave us two, isn't that nice :)) which i always held in much higher regard than the copied sig from Winston.

And, yes, real signatures are always preferable. Would have been great if they had gone with the sig plate on the base all the way. I love the separated plaque next to my Alien.

In my opinion this is the probably the best T-800 collectible to own. Recently acquired mine and so much better in person. Pictures never do any CM's justice!
I recently ordered Darth Vader so this and T-800 probably my most treasured CM's :)

    This is so true.
I think a lot has to do with the sheer size of these maquettes and how difficult it is to translate the proper feeling of those pieces in photos.
    Congrats with your latest acquisitions.

Bumping this thread to let everyone know I am selling my T-800. Link is below. I hope to sell to someone here on the forum, but I might put him up on ebay soon. Of course with the fees the price will be a lot higher on ebay. I'm a little nervous about selling it to someone I cannot verify is not a scammer. Any advice on how to protect myself would be greatly appreciated gents...thanks!

Alex do you know how to repackage it? Have you still got all the bits of foam etc?
Personally I'd take some pictures of the piece with the lights working before I sent it. I'd probably strip the batteries out too of they're in there.
Andre sold one of these recently so he might give you the benefit of his wisdom if he reads this.

I sold my T-800 last year but not via ebay. I was contacted via email by someone who saw my thread here on CBD. So we could work out the pricing very easily. But the import taxes can be huge depending on the country, so potential buyers should inform at customs what they need to pay, to prevent heart attacks. Shipping can also be very expensive. I shipped the T-800 without insurance and with a very low value, to prevent the buyer from having to pay extreme import taxes. I kept all the emails of our conversations, so i could always proof the buyer had taken full responsibility in case the package would get lost/damaged. It's always risky sending stuff like this, but as long as you as a seller make clear to a buyer that once the item has shipped you're not responsible anymore, and they accept that, it's their call if they want insurance or the real value of the item mentioned on the label or not. I made it VERY clear in my emails that i wouldn't have any responsibility.
Selling via ebay and getting payed by Paypal is actually very safe for both buyer and seller. NEVER accept bank transfers or whatever, always and only PAYPAL! At least from people you don't personally know. As long as you provide a tracking number and have proof of shipping the item, they cannot screw you.
Regarding the packaging, i orderd a large and thick shipping box (i also had thrown away the CM shipper) to put the CM box in, and filled the shipper up with all kinds of material to protect the T-800 box. I didn't have the original foam anymore that the parts were originally wrapped in, but i just used other soft material to pack it. I also took a lot of photo's of the packing process and sent them to the buyer to keep him up to date.
I also sold the Predator last year which was a pain in the ass to ship. Very heavy, and very clumsy to pack it into a shipping box because you will probably never find the exact kind of carton CM uses. My box was extremely big, filled up with extreme amounts of packing 'peanuts', and the whole just fitted through my door! It didn't fit through the buyer's front door!

Thanks for the info Andre. Steve your question is right on point...I have not boxed it up yet, but I do have all the inner foam packaging that he came with and took unboxing pics when I got him, so it shouldn't be an issue. I am working on an ebay ad. I'll have to get him all boxed up. I might just bring the black box to Fedex and have them box him up.
Andre it sounds like you did it right. I want the buyer to know they're not going to get screwed while ensuring I don't either. :hmm:
We'll see how it goes. Thanks for the advice!

I was the one who bought Andre's T-800 - did not have any problem and package arrived in perfect condition - thanks to him i didn't have to pay much tax at all - for all the buyers- shipping cost for CM piece would make you suffer (a bit) ha ha
