So, I received my joker yesterday afternoon. My son and I were so anxious to open him. Man to see this thing in person. Phenomenal! I was already impressed with what I saw on Skype and pics. But in person, it's incredible. I hate to say it caus here thing looks so freak in real. Next to arnie and Aragon and the order CMS, it makes them look like dolls.

I will have to agree there Enzo , the cms have a stone face and even though the joker does too, it is perfect for that pose , and he really looks like a human looking right at you . Have to give credit to Bobby for that sculpt , plus the eyes make it alive

Good to see this one finally reassembled into something worthy of that headsculpt. You make it look too easy Raf. The saga concludes once and for all. :king:
As Lars mentioned in his post, many here have contributed ideas and thoughts for the piece in various places, and everyone who's remained invested in this project over the many, many months it's been running in its various guises deserve a special round of applause for their stamina.

The muted expressions of the human CMs can be both a blessing and a curse depending on what you look for in a piece I suppose.
But anyway, I'd agree that Causey's headsculpt looks very realistic, but that's a reflection of the time and skill he pumped into that single job over years of development, and then what was probably weeks and months of painting up and refining individual heads.
Combine that with Raf's ingenuity and you have something unarguably unique. If it does indeed make all the other human CMs look like dolls to you, that's regrettable, but perhaps such an outcome was inevitable given what you're comparing here. On that basis maybe the addition of the CM base and nameplate in an effort to make the Joker fit with the 'official' line just makes its alternative heritage that much more obvious?
Anyway, congratulations on the piece, and looking forward to your pictures. :top:

I think you misunderstood Steve. Or it seems a typo on my part. I'm meaning the older CMS that did not seem to use the translucent silicon. The arnie and Aragon they both seem to be heavily painted silicon faces. Therefore those are the two I was referring to. The other CMS (when they switched to the different or clearer silicon) look very lifelike just like the joker. But raf is correct the eyes do bring it to a whole new level. The godfather, supes, sparrow, Bruce and Indy look just as realistic as my joker minus the eyes. It is the older ones (first couple that were produced) that I was referring too. And yes raf brought this piece to life for me no doubt, before when II sent it out to raf it had no life in it what so ever the sculpt was no doubt great and paint app as well. But that body could only do so much.

Thanks for the explanation Enzo, I understand what you're saying.
I'm not sure what happened with the T-850 because the early editions certainly have much fleshier tone skin. The one that I shipped over to Tim for example had a very natural skin tone compared to mine which clearly had something added to the silicone to give it a different, flatter look. A look which was carried over to Aragorn, and then dropped subsequently.
As for glass eyes - yeah hard to get much more realistic than that, but I know George had some concerns about utilising those for Cinemaquette as has been documented before. Shame really, but in fairness to the painters I do think they've done a fabulous job with the painted eyes so far - especially the Don.

No doubt the paint on the silicon eyes are near perfect. Especially on my sparrow. I'm always on awe when looking at that one in the eyes.
Agreed with the arnie and Aragon. Mine are both flat as you put it. Even the textures such as pours were not present in the earlier editions. The gf has the best textures, wrinkles and pours out of all my pieces. My gf in fact comes to life and I swear is going to move one of these days. Lol. Seems with every release of a human cm the realism gets better and better. fort he supes one is also on the par with coming to life when u look at him int he eyes and pours and such. The glass eyes would help but I understand the concern with wHat was explained in the past with shipping and such. However the joker eyes seem to be glued in and stay. Almost looks like with a silicon base glue or something. Which joker has been shipped quite a bit and they have not moved yet.
