Thanks for posting all those comparisons and sorry for replying so late. Now I get the idea much better.

It's good to see that you're bold enough to tackle these shortcomings yourself these days. :paint:

    Great work! :laola:

Thanks Lars.I wouldn't say it's close to the movie beast but I like it and the colours go very well with the rest of the body.

The colour scheme applied on this T-rex are close imo :

It's even better in person my friend...attention to detail is amazing...you'd think the drops of blood are painted on the surface of the water...no,no,these drops are actually in the translucent resin...don't know how they did that but it looks incredible.

I've received my SS Predator I maquette and I have to say I am pleased with the overall factory paintjob.
There are some areas I don't like (of course) such as the crown with these black and orange/brown dots and the artificial feel of the weathering on the armor.Did some improvements on the crown and changed the dots into the typical black and brown giraffe-like patterns (as it should be).

After: (the brown spots are difficult to see but you have an idea by looking at the black pattern)

Thanks mate.Really happy how it looks now.Busy on the armor as we speak.
Luckily these 'upgrades' are relatively easy to do...don't ask me to repaint though, lol.
