I am finally starting my own collection thread here. My display is not finished as I will be adding acrylic doors in the near future, but I would like to at least gather and post some of my pics here. Thanks for looking!

Well the smaller base one of course You could do two per shelf... not sure about three... The problem is Vader is so huge. If I turned him at an angle I could probably fit another CM on the shelf with him, but I really like how he looks with the nameplate facing me. The T-800 is the only one out of my three CM's that would easily fit on the same shelf with the other's. So it's a big shelf for the T-800, but I wanted each CM to have the same sized compartment, to maintain a sense of scale. If it weren't for Vader I would have two per shelf. And thanks for the compliment Darknight!
Patriot666 wrote 14 hours earlier » Knowing how big Vader and the Alien are, this must be a pretty vast space! Have to say that I think the blend of brick and wood provides a very natural, muted backdrop for these pieces. Many collections, mine included, have a very white clinical feel, so it's good to see something that actually has some real warmth to it. The use of low key lighting is also very tasteful. Can't wait to see how it shapes up with the addition of some acrylic frontages. Bravo.
Otto, Phil, Steve, thank you very much for your comments. To be honest, other than the CM's there isn't much rhyme or reason with the placement of the statues at this point. I will definitely be moving things around a bit. This is an older home and this space is supposed to be a formal dining room but it works perfectly as a display room/dining room. I agree with you about the wood and brick Steve, not only does it have a warm feel to it, it actually improves the room, rather than impeding on the space. The Creature will be going where the SS Snow Troll is now. I planned to put him on a middle or bottom shelf so his nicely detailed base could be seen. It's nice to finally have a thread to update as new pieces come in...there will be a few things coming soon.
Thanks guys. I really appreciate your comments. Hulk comes next Tuesday. I think a little green will look nice in the display.
Alex, I really like the clean lines, the spacing, and the warmth (as Steve has eluded to) that the wood and the brick lends to the collection. You mentioned you will put acrylic doors on the front ... are they double doors, on hinged door? Have you accounted for the weight of the door and the pull on the display when the door is open if it is one large door?

Have you accounted for the weight of the door and the pull on the display when the door is open if it is one large door? They are sliding doors built by Ikea specifically for the PAX. They slide along a track that screws in to the top of the cabinet. The doors were called "Lyngdal" but those were discontinued and they are being re released to be sold separately as door frames, and glass panels. The door frames will come in aluminum(silver), white, and black. I will be buying black frames and ordering custom acrylic panels. The frames come with dividers for 6 glass panels, but I will leave the dividers out, and use one solid acrylic panel per door. So what you see in my pics are 2 Pax put together, each will have 2 doors. The weight of the doors is not an issue due to the light frame, and acrylic.
My display is based solely on a fellow SSF forum member's design. He deserves 100% of the credit for introducing the PAX to me as a display cabinet. Here's a link to the blueprint I followed.. http://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showthread.php?t=113791&page=9
