Wow I could give that Labyrinth maquette to the wife. Looking really good.
Yep that's impressive.
David Bowie likeness is immaculate.
First in-hand pics of the female T-rex bust(coming from China)...still waiting for some decent shots with proper lighting.
There are other pictures (with harsh lighting) that are even worse.
After the close-to-perfect paintjob on the 1/1 female Raptor bust we're back to mediocrity.
When I'll receive my bust a paint upgrade will be in order to make it shine!(almost no nuances in the brown areas)The only good thing is the accurate sculpt and the base layers.
I will say it again: Toynami's painters need a lesson or two how to paint organic patterns/nuances.It's not that it is that bad but it feels as if they gave up half way through.
Maybe they need a kick in the backside again lol.
Always loved this for reference ( 1/5 Perot maquette , not movie accurate):
Orginal paintscheme for the movie :
I'm especially missing the reddish browns and darker areas on the production piece.CC's proto in the middle:
Paul: "We did not paint this like the repainted skin, we tried to concentrate on the skin pattens from the original animatronic. "
Upcoming Dino should be premiered at next Wonderfest. Spinosaurus!
EDIT: Spinosaurus is from Prime 1,not CC !!!
It's a big boy at 1/9 scale.
Prime 1 is doing a 1/8 scale with raptors....talking about a tsunami of JP collectibles!
Will be shown at Winter Wonderfest (10 february)
Perhaps they should put a bra on Malcolm...apparently that's the new thing.Men in lingerie!
But hey,the god that most of these disgusting men in power are worshipping is androgyn so I guess it fits the contemporary spirit afterall! lol
Brace yourself Raf...there's even a bigger one coming from Prime 1 (with the raptors I think).
Prime 1's version was intended to be 1/8 scale but I've just learned they will go bigger...LOL!
