Production piece of the compy looks great...seems Toynami has upped their game in regards to the dinosaurs. The 1/1 Raptor bust looks great aswell.

The one thing that was very revealing to me is the follow: there are a lot of variables to calculate the cost of a 1/4 statue of course but let's say that it costs the company approx. $200 to manufacture a $600-$700 statue (retail price).

    1:5 - 1:9 Raptors in the Kitchen

If I understand this correctly there will be two Raptor statues...one in 1:6 scale and one in 1:5 scale; two "Raptors in the Kitchen" dioramas...one in 1:5 scale and one in 1:9 scale, same for the Dilophosaurus statue.
Or am I getting this wrong?

Paul's attitude stems more from deep frustration than anything else imo.
Who would have ever thought that a company from Brazil would acquire the JP/JW licenses and take the risk to start releasing product.
He could never have anticipated this in his wildest dreams... the reason imo why Chronicle's didn't bother to include South-America in the exclusive rights clause.
Why paying more to Universal for something that would never happen?
But I'm asking myself...why would you be troubled about Iron Studios if they can only release product in S-A.?

I don't think it's a question of faith in their product cause it seems that the latest JP production pieces are of very good quality ( compy maquette , Raptor 1/1 bust). Also the list with JP products he still wants to release indicates the opposite. No,it's not that he doesn't stand behind his product.
It's more related to Paul's personality than anything else imo.His fickleness is legendary and he made one dumbass decision after the other: axing the Robocop puppet after releasing Ed & Cain ; half scale Robocop bust is his final product for this license, then a couple of weeks later he announces he will produce a life size Robocop bust ; axing the life size Horus helmet because he still has 38 pcs unsold, even before Anubis was in collector's hands, then announcing he will produce 50 Horus helmets in-house ; etc.

You could be right Phil, thanks for your thought on this subject. Paul said its not that popular licence for two companies to have obviously IS think otherwise that's why they went for the licence knowing Chronicle has it.

I would assume it's one of each, Phil, with the scale for each piece being somewhere between the 2 mentioned.

Well, I think it would be very naive to assume that none of those products will find their way to other territories...

    Don't forget Starship Troopers...

Ah,ok...I was confused cause Paul confirmed on several occasions that the Raptor kitchen diorama would be 1/9 scale...considering CC are also releasing a 1/48 scale breakout T-rex for the theme parks I thought they would do the same for the Raptor dio and Raptor & Spitter statue...but obviously you can't trust anything he says,lol...it makes more sense it will be one of each

Yep,but it will be similar as importing XM Studios stuff restricted to local areas and people will be paying through their noses to have it in their collection...unless Paul didn't read the small letters in his clause... :headbash::lol:

First we would have a Tanker Bug without a base...puts it in the freezer...defrosts the poor bug, adds a base and ultimately cancels the whole thing! LOL

It's no Star Wars,Marvel or DC of course but I'm looking at the JP/JW license in a similar way as LOTR...fan base is much smaller but lucrative enough nonetheless if you're releasing high end, accurate product in combination with a well thought out strategy. This is how I see it:Iron Studios will appeal to a broader public with their 1/10 line (first release = Malcolm waving the flare). And they will throw in a big dino from time to time such as a 1/10 T-rex.Maybe people will be more inclined to purchase a big dino if they can build up a nice diorama...just a thought.
