Cape-gasm! It's the cape to die for, I may as well quit now.

    Really nice Enz. :top:
Remarkable that there's no actual cloth there and the effect is all polystone. Certainly very convincing. Gentle Giant went pretty big on the promotional material for this license at Comic Con last year; I'm glad they delivered on the early promise.
Congrats on all the recent pictures - it's nice to see this thread get an update every now and again. Hopefully a Darth Vader CM picture update isn't too far off. :)

Lol yes rag ur absolutely right about that do not want to get the wife jealous.. Lol
Thanks for the compliment on the cape Steve! It was fun only problem with bats is the wire isn't that thick its rather thin, so to hold the pose I wanted was hard to achieve. But I think it looks good.
And I got my anikin head in yesterday from cm, it is flawless. I only had about 15 minutes to mess with him before a business dinner. He looks great with the head on,, i went with the helmet look. But tonight I will take him out and mess with his cape a bit. I will try and shoot some pics with my cannon. No saber though!! But at least you will get the idea.. I do not want to put him in his final resting place just yet,, need the saber on his arm to gage how much space I will need. Also think I may go with a slightly turn to the left look as to conserve space, but we will see. Keep you updated.

Believe it or not gentle giants.. This is my first gentle giants piece I have ever owned. I have heard about the quality of the pieces int he past.. But have never been interested until I found my baby doll! I have to say I am extremely impressed by gentle giants and have earned a new respect for them. This piece is 1/4 scale and 18" tall. The scale of the other pieces such as Star wars and such I were smaller so I never paid attention.. I really hope we get to see more 1/4 scale pieces format his company.. I'm telling you it blows away anything sideshow has put out that I have owned. The likeness is remarkable. I read that it was a 3d scanning. Which really shows, the thing about this piece I cannot believe is the paint job, it is picture perfect, no over sprays or over painting,, it rivals that of hot toys.

Thanks for taking the time to post the pics Enz. Absolutely gorgeous piece.
I have had a couple of pieces from Gentle Giant in the past, and two I still have. I have found the quality excellent to spectacular in the pieces I received.
The current ones I own are the i) the Hulk and ii) the green goblin on the glider. The Goblin falls in the category of 1/4 scale and is spectacular piece IMO.
Enz, do you plan to get the rest of the gals which Mirak posted?
    BTW, nice pics Mirak!

I believe so bats.. Like I said before i paid top dollar for this one, but I assume the reason being, it is baby doll (the most popular character) and the edition size is very low a mere 500. but once I saw it i just had to have it.. The others should stay around retail and I am in no rush to get them as baby doll does it for me for now.. but I have been known to look on ebay lately for sweat pea and amber.. problem is if I go with anymore it will either be just sweat pea and rocket or all of them. haven't decided yet and my wife like s the way they look in our main family room, so i have the go ahead to place them on either side if th TV not he shelves. so it may look pretty good!

Btw vader is now on the bottom of the cabinet with aliens and pred per your guys recommendation.. But the top is very overcrowded now and I am not happy with the overall look. So I have come to the realization that a couple pieces must go.

So here we go... Which two is it to be? I remember in the past you talking about Aragorn and Bruce Lee, but with the amount you're likely to get for those, would it not pay to just box them up and keep them in storage?

I was thinking about boxing them up and putting them away, my only storage at the moment is in the attic and if any of you have been to florida in the summer it can get quite hot.. i would be afraid of them getting damage up there.. i will have to come up with something if I am to store them.. i would hate to get rid of any as I love all of them.. but shit now with the release of the creature and something else special on the way. I have no other option. Originally it was aragorn and bruce or t850 would be sold. I wouldn't think i could get much for either aragorn (even with rafs exclusive crown) and bruce. maybe $1000 tops for each.. I will take a pic and see what you guys think. I am open for suggestions, but I gotta tell you I am not loving vader on the bottom. but you be the judges..

Do you mean the silicone? I'd have the same worry too. Raf what do you think?

    Erm, yeah, no kidding Enz.
I guess if it were me I'd go with your choice of removing Bruce Lee and Aragorn first as well and going from there.

Honestly? that looks frikkin' awesome. Perfectly balanced. :top:
Okay so Vader is down the bottom, but the trade-off is room for everything nicely displayed up top.

Remove Bruce Lee and Godfather. If you have to sell or store any of them, then those 2 would be my choice.
Move the T-800 below behind Vader and to the side if there is space. If not then keep the T-800 on a separate display by itself in your home theater room.

Yeah I mean the silicon the clothing weather it be leather, cloth what have you! even the metal I would be afraid of oxidizing up there.. Your talking probably 110 degrees plus up there in the summer months..
I agree may remove aragorn and bruce or arnie. I will do so when I have time. I tell you though that vader is so fragile, i just hate moving him.

Thanks buddy i did my best to balance them! i think it turned out alright, problem is it need to be odd numbers for it to be perfectly balanced once even numbers its 3 on one side and 4 on the other.

I actually like how that looks like , even on top I don't feel it's that crowded , as for the heat , I too would worry more about the clothes and metals then the silicone , so there is no chance to put them else where in the room Enzo? Like I nice shelf so little Enzo won't reach?
