Sorry to read that Paul but it would be the simplest repair for someone like Raf.

On the other hand I've had my Vader for three years now and haven't taken the mask off once.

Damn, sorry to hear that. I wouldn't have the slightest idea how to go about fixing silicone though. Well I guess you can always glue pieces back on but other than that...

Going to try and glue it later. I won't display him without mask but also I hate knowing its damaged under there. The mask doesn't line up very well at the front either and the lightsaber sound effect isn't in time with how it lights up. Apart from that it's nice.

I hate too knowing that its not perfect...my vader has got saber very badly cast so the paint...each time i look at it i see that...
My first vader, the mask dont fit well, very very hard to put in, and have light problem

I think to glue silicon you may use silicon for bathroom
A toothpick with a little bit transparent silicon glue
    Classic super glue dont work...

Yep, you'll have to use silicone as glue of course.

I used super glue that is good for rubber and synthetic materials. It worked and it looks OK I think.

I couldn't locate where Zhong said something about the shoddy sabre hilt on his Vader cinemaquette and how gutted he was about it.Kev mentioned it aswell in his youtube review.
Don't worry you have a bad specimen Zhong cause these are all the same. Can't really comprehend why the sabre hilt looks really that cheap (silver painted, uneven surface stripes inbetween the black ones instead of chrome) while the rest of the armor is top notch!Has anyone an explanation for this?Has it something to do with the electronics/technology of the tube?

To be honest Phil I don't have a problem with a sabre hilt. My biggest gripe is the belt - it does look quite thin, flimsy and plasticky compared to the rest of the costume.

But it's a minor niggle on what is otherwise an ace statue.

Your going to love him rotting. It's a brilliant piece from the top of the helmet to the bottom of the base. It screams quality.
