To me, other contenders for best large statue of 2017 are :

    - SS Red Sonja PF
    - SS Xiall & Cleopsis PF
    - SS Darth Maul & Kylo Ren PF
    - P1 TDK Batman 1/3
    - PCS Akuma 1/3
    - SS Death Pool PF
    - SS Bane PF

It strikes me how much quality products Sideshow has released in 2017,especially in comparison with previous years.
Keep up the good work SS!

Well although the explorer is a great scene , it still feels that you would need the rest to complete the dio as it still looks like rex is going after someone
But with this new look I feel I can display it without the feel of needing to complete anything

Not the dio for me Lars...I have the T-rex on pre-order and also the Explorer n°5 as stand alone pieces. That's it for me.
    You?

Why not the dio? Funds or too many inaccuracies/scale issues for your taste?

    Funds and space Lars...complete set-up = 3000 EUR....T-rex & Explorer = 1400 EUR
Also,I feel the complete dio is a bit forced...T-rex & Explorer 5 with Alan & Ian are too close to one another.Still awesome though.

Hmm... I'm planning to buy one piece in 2019 and, right now, the decision comes down between this, the ECC Mohawk or PCS Halloween Maquette (+X), so I'm placing some PO's to hold me over till SDCC just in case so I don't have to get on any waitlists. Decisions, decisions...

That ECC Mohawk is still on my mind aswell Lars......but the expected price-tag keeps me away from it atm.
Personally I wouldn't hesitate for 1 second to choose the Mohawk. This is something like the Rosenberg bust...most probably once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. There will be other Gremlin statues no doubt but never again something of this magnitude.

S&H is pretty chaotic on this. Chronicle distributes for Iron Studios while we've just learned that Sideshow distributes for Chronicle. But not the IS products... :baffled:

So Chronicle quoted me with an estimated 20-25% s&h which is 500-650$. Right.

I know...I've paid $200 s&h for ED-209 back in the days which came in a relatively small box. :baffled:

Chronicle will also distribute the Prime 1 JP/JW pieces.
