Thats one very nice looking figure, love the accessories and the bloodied endo arm it comes with. I do agree the likeness is not 100% there.

Thanks for the video Enz - interesting to see these pieces in a new light.
But seeing this video has got me thinking. These pieces clearly aren't toys - the cost and average age of the owners prevent them being played with in the truest sense of the word. And the scale and poseability prevent them from being classified as maquettes/statues.
I get that the likenesses are good. I get the materials are nice. I get that they have a neat eye movement feature (which is surely mostly useless given these pieces are most often perched motionless on a shelf or in a cabinet), but what I don't understand is exactly what collectors do with them.
I'm not deriding or insulting any here who collect these pieces. They are pretty hot all told. But for me I think I'd probably struggle to keep them in my collection for long. I think after a while the scale and constant desire to keep changing the pose would prove too much for me. I think much of the hype surrounding these pieces is down to the way HT cleverly photoshop the pieces in front of real backgrounds in promo pics. Taken on their own, on a shelf, well, they sort of look like 12" figures.
    Am I missing something?

although i think these are very very INCREDIBLE AND THE DETIAL AMAZING, and do get EXCITED by seeing these awsome pieces, i would have to agree with you steve, I LOVE all the detail and little gadgets just amazing, but i would have a problem with disiding what hands to keep what head, or pose, thats why i prefer something set in stone already,

So are you guys saying that you do not prefer to have poseable cinemaquettes?
I think that would be pretty cool tho, to have poseable silicon CMs. That way, I can have the Godfather standing up beside a chair, or the T-850 in battle with the T-800.
Unfortunately, us collectors will never be satisfied. :headbash:
But good points all around. I, too, will feel the frustration in posing a poseable figure. I think Hot toys is doing a wonderful job with their 12 inch line of figures so far. Very good likeness and great accessories. Now if they were 1/4 or 1/3 scale i'll be hooked.
