    Well let's have it then:

I visited the booth and spoke with Bryan Ono down there. A few things to report before the pictures. Firstly the Falcon is on indefinite hold - the cost of tooling up for production alone was $85,000 which makes the piece a loss leader before they even sell a single unit.
They have some new products on the way which were shown at the Con. Aside from the concept helmets from Star Wars (always felt these have much more character than the screen used versions - something Bryan surprisingly concurred with) they also have a concept X-Wing (first time it was on display), and a helmet from the original Tron, plenty of new stuff from MIB, as well as some new props from the original Star Wars and BSG.
The Vader Legend helmet was on display also and looked splendid. All-in-all an exemplary showing from a company whose production products are unquestionable.

Are you going to get the Battlestar Galactica Colonial helmet, Lars? Looks like a very fine piece.

Like Raf with busts (right? :D ), I'm not a helmet/bust person myself.
Still enjoy looking at them though.

Bryan from eFX had a Q&A session last night at rebelscum. He answered around 50 questions and more in the following pages after the one on this link. There is also a shot of the Luke helmets waiting for the visors to be made. It may be a few more months to receive that piece.

The TIE is a nice piece. Questions 15-17 of the Q&A were mine.
I asked about the TIE variants because I refuse to believe that after all the money they spent on tooling the standard TIE fighter they won't make an ESB version because it's too similar. Come on now.

Great questions Jose! :top: To me, eFX seems like a company who actually cares. I particularly like the fact that they will keep going back to the drawing board until they get it 100% right, even if it means having to decrease their profit margins and keep customers waiting. eFX stands for quality and I'm more than happy to shell out extra to support the company and for quality pieces. Given the latest fiasco of Fred Burton's productions and SS' QC issues, eFX has got their principles right and have won me as a customer.

    I love the Tie.
The one thing holding me back is the different scale from the Falcon. I don't have the room necessary to make them look like individual exhibits rather than one misscaled big scene.

Are the X-Wing and Tie in the same scale?

No. I believe the TIE is scaled smaller than the X-Wing.

The hunt for whatever SW vehicle would be over soon if Efx would dare to release a Star Destroyer...

    Hehe, yeah, totally.
I think it was this model I've had the chance to see in the flesh but it had no lights... scale seems about the same. :hmm:
