Still haven't received my Mohawk...WTF!I know they are very busy and operating with low employee numbers (corona) but I can't seem to get a simple response (which takes 5 seconds) and tell me if they know already when their alotment will arrive...we are almost a half year later since they begin to sent these out!...
LCDN - Lacitédesnuages Lars,do you think this is normal with such a limited ES of 299? Are the factories of Toynami still producing these months later after the first specimen have been sent out? The only reason I can see why it would take that long to produce all 299 pieces is the intricate & elaborate paintjob...is it possible?
I asked my supplier and they say there are still some pieces available from US warehouses, though they've up'ed their prices now from 2.5k€ to 3k€ to reflect the scarcity, lol. Hopefully you're still singing that tune once in-hand.
Well,it looks pretty darn impressive imo...didn't see one in person but it seems that every owner is extremely happy with it.
LCDN now says they don't know if they will have'm this summer. I'm tired of this BS.Everybody received their specimen from every other european shop end of last year or the beginning of this year! --->CANCELED!I've asked for a full refund!
I still have'm on pre-order Lars...they wouldn't want to give me a full refund ...if they don't have their alotment before the end of juin they will refund me for the total amount...I've agreed to wait a couple of more months...they must be pretty confident they will have'm in juin. Everybody I know and I emphasize 'everybody' got their specimen before the corona outbreak...most even end of last year.(Twilight-Zone got theirs in november) Apparently it's normal these days, even for an item with a ES of 299 pieces ,to be waiting 8,9 or 10 months after the first specimen has been sent out.(if you're unlucky) Iwas immensly pissed as LCDN were expecting their Mohawks in december last year as most other shops did .And I've paid it in full last year (in summer) anticipating my specimen's arrival in december.I need to be more patient I guess. I've learned that LCDN is working with the Italian distributor for their ECC/Cinemaquette pieces instead of PBM Express which will always come first as they are the original distributor for the Benelux,France & Germany.
Of course corona doesn't help now but I've seen it also with many other pieces lately such as the Prime 1 Studio 1/3 Alien Dog or the 1/6 Blue raptor statue...I'm still waiting for mine while the first specimen has been sent out to distributors last year. I think this will be the new normal now for many high end pieces, even with small edition sizes. Many are still waiting for their CC 1/4 Thulsa Doom statue (with an ES of only 100 pieces!) and I've received mine from Twilight-Zone last year. Depending on which distributor a shop is working with and the amount of pieces they are getting in of a certain item at a certain time will determine if you will be one of the first to get the piece or if you will be waiting 6 to 9 months longer...
It's indeed bizarre but your explanation makes sense. Mine came in shortly before Christmas. I do have to wonder though if certain globally active retailers like Bunker158 do their own logistics at this point or whether some receive preferred treatment at the distributors? Even back in November 2019, they (Bunker) were able to tell me precisely when the ship with the Mohawks would dock in the harbour and the only unknown was customs handling time. Sure enough, it was in stock and ready to ship bang on the date. That being said, I wouldn't mind some unplanned delays with my remaining order just about now...
Yeah...normally I have no problem either to wait a litlle longer for incoming pre-orders...I wouldn't have made a fuss about it if I didn't pay for it in full like a year ago... ...LCDN was already advertising Mohawk in the 'soon to arrive' section in november with an arrival during december... and now we're here almost a half year later, lol ...I can't begin to tell me how that pisses me off...they were sure expecting their Mohawks in december but their alotment must have been given to someone else at the time... it is as you've said...someone probably must have gotten a preffered treatment at the distributors...I can see no other logical explanation atm.
