I talked to the guy who made those last pics about the quality of these Coolprops busts. Basically he said it was OK, but not as good as the earlier Sideshow Alien busts...

Good to know Dieter...basically my own sentiments upon viewing their production pieces.
The quality is certainly not in accordance to the high price tags of these busts!
An absolute horror quality-and design-wise is their Predator 2 bust. The only thing going for this bust is movie accuracy and a relatively decent paintjob on the face & crown.
    The rest is rubbish.
Glad Prime 1 took over the reigns to produce the Alien & Predator maquettes.

The following is making me nervous knowing that Coolprops will be producing the Big Chap on their own.

Mystery solved! The CoolProps Big Chap 1/3 is not in collaboration with Prime1 but with Museum HR Giger!!!
Dog Alien is indeed a collaboration with Prime1 and so will probably be the others (Warrior, new Warrior & Newborn)

CoolProps: "Regarding to your questions, we are planning of producing 1:3 maquette line of [Giger’s Alien], [Dog Alien], [Alien Warrior,] [New Warrior ]and[ Newborn].

Giger’s Alien is the collaboration item with Museum HR Giger and Dog Alien is the collaboration item with Prime 1 studio."

I think it's something very special to have an exact scaled replica of the Big Chap as seen in the Giger museum.
The fact they are replicating the glass display cabinet aswell makes this piece even more atractive imo.

I hope $1500-$2000 but realistically it will be closer to $2500 I'm afraid...Giger museum wants a part of that cake aswell! :money:

(...+ expect the glass cabinet to be priced at $500.)

    Cinemaquette alien have more "veins"...
Cool props alien looks like he wear a armor, too much smooth...
Except that i like it, like the idea is the same as giger museum in 1/3 scale
I want to know how much he will be...

Exactly. This is an accurate reproduction of the suit as worn in the movie.
There are no veins on the actual suit.I think it was something Paul Komoda added to give the cinemaquette a more 'interesting' look.
This will be a very special piece of movie history to own.
I'm looking at it as a "study" object much like the 1/5 T-rex statue from Chronicle.(which also has no pose,it's just standing there)
I'm also very charmed by the fact that it is an exact scaled replica of the suit from the museum, display case included.
It's an awesome piece and can be considered as a grail piece for the Alien uber fan.
