So now that you're into sculpting, Raf, what's your clay of choice then and why? :naughty:

Well for small projects I like monster clay and for big like the Sam head , we'd clay worked great. I wish I had known about monster clay when I did the crown as the detail would have been a lot better

I see. So on the Yoda head for example you went in with the Monster, but a body like Sups would be WET?

Well the WED clay would be more for 1:1 busts , the superman body being it 1/3 scale monster clay is cool because once hard it holds its shape awesome , wed clay will not , and must be kept covered to avoid it from drying out its like pottery it will crack in thin areas

Ok so here is the first pull as you can see I got an air bubble in the ear so it is good so now I know what to do next to avoid it , , also the mold came out great as I did NOT get a seam line , which is awesome , the next step is to put in the eyes and see how they look as it was not easy to put the eyes in before as they would shift , . The color I like because once I I add the shades it will look awesome , also it seems that every wrinkle and detail came out and not lost at all :D [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Not far, not far, Yoda not far!
Would be nice to see the head on video Raf - nothing fancy just a quick few seconds of footage if you get time.

This came out very good Raf :top: !!! I also had some problems casting a sculpt with big ears a while ago  and solved the problem by pouring the silicone in very slowly and under a certain angle to avoid air bubbles .

I actually did that with the left ear Karim and tried it with the right as well by that time the silicone was a bit thicker and did not flow as easy , and although I felt it went all the way it did not , I think I will use a bent syringe and start inside the ears , :top:
